Am I the only one?

P1010847

Addi Turbo Lace circular needles… Am I the only one who CANNOT find a way to get the cables to relax? I have tried the ‘tricks’ I found online – soak them in near-boiling water for varying periods of time, try hanging a weight on them after soaking, etc… and yet, within minutes, they go back to this. I use them for magic loop sock knitting, and they drive me batty!

My addi turbo interchangeables aren’t nearly this bad, but of course they don’t make size 1 interchangeables (at least I’ve never found any such needle)… What I want is a soft, flexible cable that doesn’t curl every five seconds!

End rant.

  1. I would also like to know the answer to the stiff cable problem. I’ve noticed that the colder and drier (winter) air makes the problem worse but I haven’t discovered a solution.

    1. Wow… I stopped posting on this blog because I felt no one read it *haha*. I was thinking of resurrecting it, if only for my own edification…

I found a solution – I changed needle companies. I’m having great luck with ChiaoGoo needles – I now own both circular sets AND this needle to make socks using magic loop: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DX86PBE/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 – I find the cable is FAR superior (at least for me) than my Addi needles…
